Job Description: 


Assists with the administration of the day-to-day operations of the human resources functions and duties. Provides administrative support in other areas as required. Performs a variety of HR activities such as benefits administration, policies and procedures, payroll/HRIS administration and file maintenance.

Essential Job Duties:
• Responsible for 401k reporting and processing.
• Coordinates benefit deductions with payroll and updates as necessary.
• Audits employee information and updates deduction information with payroll.
• Prepares mass mailings and coordinates department mail distribution.
• Assists with open enrollment.
• Processes new vendors, PO’s and invoices through Oracle.
• Processes benefits enrollment for new employees; processes all changes; reconciles benefit statements.
• Verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 information.
• Prepares new employee files & new hire packets with related paperwork.
• Assists with preparing separation letters and cobra notifications.
• Makes photocopies, faxes documents and performs other clerical functions.
• Files papers and documents into appropriate employee files and maintains all personnel records.
• Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions including employment verification.
• Supports management with special projects and workflow process improvements and other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Communicates clearly and concisely in a variety of communication settings and styles. Effectively tailors the message to the needs of the audience.
• Establishes goals and objectives which are specific, measurable, achievable and relevant.
• Lays out work in a well-planned and organized manner.

Education and Experience
• Bachelor degree is preferred.
• High level of proficiency in MS Excel is required.
• Three or more years of experience in human resources support or related field required.

Physical Requirements:
• Typically sits or stands for extended amount of time in front of a computer.
• As needed, lifts, carries or otherwise moves and positions objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
• May be required to move about to coordinate work.
• Ability to communicate or exchange ideas by means of verbal or written word to impart information to clients or to the public and to convey detailed Instructions to other workers.
• Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
• Must be able to travel as needed.
